Product Description:
HYDAC diaphragm accumulators utilize nitrogen gas to store
hydraulic energy. This is necessary because fluids are not
compressible on their own. The accumulator uses a diaphragm to
separate the gas and fluid sides.
When pressure increases, fluid is drawn into the accumulator and
compresses the gas. As pressure decreases, the gas expands and
returns energy to the hydraulic circuit.
A poppet is included in the diaphragm to prevent it from being
pushed through the fluid port.
HYDAC produces two types of diaphragm accumulators: welded
(non-repairable) and threaded (repairable). They are commonly used
in industrial and mobile applications for energy storage, pressure
maintenance, leakage compensation, and vehicle hydraulic systems
(such as brakes and suspension).
